What Fault 15 Means
Fault 15 sits immediately after Fault 14 in F&P's summary and carries the identical entry: a sensor module problem, remedied by replacing that module. The manual draws no distinction between the two numbers, so neither does this page - what matters for the repair is the part, which is the same either way.
Common Causes of Fault 15
- A self-check failure reported by the sensor module
- Electronics on the module reaching the end of their service life
- An earlier supply event that left the board unreliable
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
One full power-down at the breaker is the only step available before a technician is involved. Make a note of every other code the dryer has shown recently, because that list is worth more here than this code on its own.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Switch the supply off at the breaker before anything inside the cabinet is touched, since the module shares its space with the heater circuit.
- Two codes that resolve to one part make it tempting to skip the diagnosis, but the module drives several systems and a technician will still want to know which of them is misbehaving.
- A replacement handled without static precautions can arrive already compromised and fail in a way that looks like the original problem.
- Identification by exact reference matters on a discontinued platform, where a board that physically fits may not be the right revision.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
