What Er47 Means
Er47 means the LIN-bus link between the main control module and an induction coil driver module has been disrupted — the data connection telling each coil how much power to put out has either dropped or become unreliable.
Common Causes of Er47
- A loose or damaged harness between the control module and an induction coil driver
- A failed connector on either end
- A failed control module or coil driver

Cut breaker power to the cooktop for a couple of minutes to rule out a temporary communication drop before assuming a real hardware fault.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The fault could sit at either end of the LIN-bus link, so replacing a module on a guess is a common, costly mistake.
- Sitting close to high-current coil wiring, the induction coil driver is a real shock hazard to test without isolating power first.
- Reseat a connector even slightly off and the fault can seem to clear temporarily, only to return once the cooktop's back in regular use.
