What 110 Means
Fault 110 reports the motor bridge thermistor as open circuit. That sensor watches the temperature of the power electronics that drive the motor, and because it is built into the motor control module, F&P's action is replacement of the module rather than of the sensor.
Common Causes of 110
- An open circuit thermistor on the motor bridge
- A broken connection to the sensor inside the module
- Module electronics degraded with age
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Unplug the machine for five minutes and try once more. The sensor sits inside a sealed assembly, so if the code returns there is nothing further to attempt from outside.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Unplug the machine before the module is approached, because the motor bridge switches mains-level current and the board can hold charge briefly after isolation.
- This thermistor is what lets the module back off before its power stage overheats, so running the washer without it means a protective function is missing rather than a convenience.
- The module is a sealed assembly and there is no owner-level path to a single part inside it.
- Whatever stressed the power stage may still be present, so the motor and pump circuits deserve checking before a module goes in.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
