What 192 (SmartDrive) Means
Fault 192 applies to SmartDrive phases 4 and 5 and is the motor-side equivalent of error 163: the module has sensed an open circuit between two specific pins, which F&P identifies as pins 30 and 31, and states that the motor cannot operate in this condition. Replacement of the motor control module is the documented action.
Common Causes of 192 (SmartDrive)
- An open circuit between the named pins on the module
- A failed joint in the motor drive control section
- Board damage following an earlier motor circuit problem
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
One power-down of a minute is worth trying. Beyond that, a break between two pins on a board is not something reachable from outside the machine.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Unplug the washer before any work near the module, since the section involved controls the mains-level drive to the motor.
- The machine will not agitate or spin in this condition, so repeated start attempts achieve nothing but wear on the rest of the system.
- Because F&P names specific pins, this is a board-level problem with no connector to reseat and nothing to clean.
- A module fitted without its configuration completed afterwards logs setup problems rather than curing this one.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
