Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher Repair

Dishwasher Repair, Done Right the First Time

Whether you own a two-drawer DishDrawer or a standard drop-door Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, a cycle that won't finish or dishes that come out wet almost always traces back to one specific, repairable part — not the whole unit.

The DishDrawer is a genuinely different machine from a conventional dishwasher, not just a dishwasher turned sideways. Each drawer has its own wash pump, heating element, filter, and control logic, which means the top and bottom drawers effectively run as two independent dishwashers sharing one water and drain connection. In practice that’s an advantage when something goes wrong: if one drawer stops cleaning properly, draining, or latching, the fault is almost always isolated to that drawer’s own mechanism rather than a shared board or pump.

Because a drawer pulls open and closed on a horizontal seal instead of swinging shut like a door, the gasket geometry and latch mechanism are different from what a standard dishwasher uses — and it’s the part we see fail most often on older DishDrawer units. On standard drop-door Fisher & Paykel dishwashers, faults are more familiar: a blocked filter or drain path, a heating circuit that’s lost continuity, or a leak sensor doing exactly what it was designed to do. Either way, our technicians carry the drawer seals, latch assemblies, filters, and heating elements that fail most often for same-visit repairs.

Dishwasher Repair FAQ

Usually not. Each drawer has its own pump, heater, and filter, so a fault is typically isolated to the drawer having the problem — the other drawer keeps running normally.

A drawer seals against a horizontal gasket rather than a vertical door seal, so a worn or misaligned drawer seal is one of the more common leak sources on DishDrawer models specifically.

Yes — we repair both the DishDrawer lineup and Fisher & Paykel's conventional drop-door dishwashers.
