What F2 07 Means
F2 07 is a self clean door problem: the power board has registered the oven door as open during a self clean cycle. F&P's checks begin with establishing whether the door really was opened, then move to the door magnet, the door switch and its connection to the power board.
Common Causes of F2 07
- The door genuinely opened or unlatched mid-cycle
- A displaced or failed magnet in the door frame
- A door switch that has failed or lost its connection
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Leave the door alone while the oven is hot. Once it is completely cold, check that the door closes squarely and that the magnet in the frame has not been knocked or come loose - that is as far as an owner should go.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Wait until the cavity is fully cold before the door area is examined, because self clean drives the interior far hotter than any cooking setting and the door stays dangerous for a long time afterwards.
- The door switch is part of how the oven knows it is safe to run self clean at all, so it is not a part to bypass to get a cycle finished.
- Reaching the switch means taking the inner door panel off, which holds the layered glass in its clips, and the panes seldom sit square again afterwards.
- Restarting self clean repeatedly without establishing why the door registered open puts the cavity back to full temperature with the interlock unproven.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
