What EE0 Means
EE0 means the diverter motor failed to start. That motor is what swings water between the upper and lower spray arms, so when it will not turn, one level of the machine stops being fed. The manual's checks are the harness between motor and controller, then the diverter motor itself.
Common Causes of EE0
- A diverter motor that has failed to start or seized
- A harness problem between the diverter and the controller
- Debris binding the diverter mechanism
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check both spray arms spin freely by hand and that no tall item is wedged against the upper arm. That will not start a dead diverter motor, but it removes the simplest alternative explanation before you book.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Switch off at the breaker before the sump area is opened, since the heater and wash motor share that compartment.
- The diverter sits in the water path, so its seals have to be right on reassembly or the machine leaks inside the cabinet where nothing shows.
- A seized mechanism and a dead motor produce the same result, and freeing the mechanism by force usually breaks the drive that would have been reusable.
- Reaching the diverter generally means tipping the machine, which loads the inlet and drain connections at the back.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
