What F1 03 Means
F1 03 is a general software error raised by the clock board - the board has detected that its own program has got into a state it cannot recover from. F&P's documented sequence is short: power the oven off and on, and replace the clock board if the problem persists.
Common Causes of F1 03
- A transient software problem after a supply interruption
- Corrupted program data on the clock board
- A failing part on the clock board
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Do the documented step yourself. Switch the oven off at the breaker, leave it two minutes, and restore power. A genuine one-off clears here and needs nothing further.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If the reset does not clear it, isolate the oven at the breaker before the fascia is opened, as the clock board harness runs beside the mains supply.
- A software error that returns every time is hardware, and continuing to reset it just delays the diagnosis.
- The fascia is bonded to its housing with fixings hidden behind the trim, and levering it apart marks the front of the oven permanently.
- Fitting a clock board without confirming the model ID afterwards swaps this problem for a configuration one.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
