What F2 19 Means

F2 19 heads a group of fan stall problems on F&P ranges. The power board expects the cooling fan to be turning and the stall sensor to confirm it; when that confirmation stops arriving the problem is logged. The manual's checks cover the fan's actual operation and the stall sensor's connection back to the power module.

Common Causes of F2 19

  • A cooling fan that has seized or failed
  • A stall sensor no longer reporting rotation
  • A broken connection between the sensor and the power module

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try

Once the range is cold, check that nothing is stored against the rear or the vents above the control panel. Restricted airflow will not stall a fan by itself but it puts the whole cooling system under strain and is worth eliminating.

⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That

  • Switch off at the breaker and let the appliance cool before anything at the rear is reached, because the cooling fan sits right beside the oven cavity.
  • A fan that is turning but not being detected needs a different repair from one that has stopped, and only testing separates them.
  • This fan is what keeps the control electronics survivable during long cooking, so running the range with it stalled invites a far more expensive failure.
  • Reaching the fan means drawing the range out past its anti-tip bracket, which must be re-engaged afterwards or the appliance can tip when the door is loaded.

Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

FAQ

F2 19 FAQ

Yes. The code is raised when the board loses confirmation from the stall sensor, and a sensor or connection problem produces that even with a perfectly healthy fan.

Better not for long bakes. The fan exists to protect the electronics from cavity heat, and without it those parts run hotter than they were designed to.
