What 107 Means
Fault 107 means the motor control module reset itself when nothing asked it to. F&P attributes that either to a power disturbance reaching the module or to a failure in its microprocessor, and names replacement of the module as the action.
Common Causes of 107
- A power disturbance reaching the module
- A microprocessor failure on the motor control module
- Electrical noise from another appliance on the same circuit
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Unplug for five minutes and restore power. A single unexplained reset can follow a storm or an outage; one that repeats every cycle is the module itself.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Take the machine off supply before the module area is opened, because the board sits on the mains side of the washer.
- An unexpected reset mid-cycle can leave the drum holding water, so the machine should be drained properly rather than left to sit.
- Power disturbance and microprocessor failure are the two documented causes and they need entirely different follow-up, only one of which is a part.
- A module fitted without its configuration completed afterwards logs setup problems in place of this one.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
