What 111 Means
Fault 111 is the short-circuit counterpart to Fault 110 on the same motor bridge thermistor. Instead of no signal the module receives one that cannot be true, and since the sensor is integral to the motor control module, the documented remedy is again to replace that module.
Common Causes of 111
- A shorted thermistor on the motor bridge
- A short in the sensing path inside the module
- Heat damage to the power stage the sensor monitors
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Give it one five-minute power-down. Beyond that the problem concerns a part inside a sealed board and nothing at the controls reaches it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Take the machine off supply before any work near the module, and allow it a moment to discharge before it is handled.
- A short reading tells the module the power stage is at a temperature it is not, which can make the machine behave unpredictably from cycle to cycle.
- Because the sensor is not a separate part, there is nothing cheaper to try first - which makes confirming the diagnosis worth the time.
- A module replaced without its configuration step completed afterwards simply logs setup problems instead.
