Model # IWL15

Fisher & Paykel washer repair

The IWL15 is one of the short-lived middle steps in Fisher & Paykel’s Intuitive top-loader run — enough of its own machine that the factory put out a separate technical bulletin for it, but close enough to the machines either side of it that parts and diagnostic procedure carry across. When one comes in today the complaint is almost always mechanical wear rather than electronics: rods that have lost their damping, a sensor that no longer reads the rotor cleanly, or a pump that has swallowed something.

Key Features

  • Intuitive control panel with cycle guidance on the SmartDrive platform

FAQ

Fisher & Paykel IWL15 FAQ

A great deal of it does, which is the main reason a machine this old is still practical to repair.

On a SmartDrive top-loader that is usually the suspension rods rather than the motor. Worn rods stop damping the load, and the control then keeps interrupting spin because it reads the bowl as out of balance.
