What F1 01 Means
On F&P's OB60C generation of built-in ovens, error codes carry two parts: the F1 group belongs to the clock board and the F2 group to the power board. F1 01 is an initialisation error meaning the clock board started up and found no power board at all. The documented checks are the connection between the two and then the power board itself.
Common Causes of F1 01
- A connector unseated between the clock board and the power board
- A damaged interconnecting harness
- A power board that is not powering up at all
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Switch the oven off at the breaker for two minutes and back on. An initialisation error that clears and stays away was a startup hiccup; one that returns every time is a real break in the link.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Isolate the oven at the breaker before any board or connector is touched, since the power board carries the full element supply.
- The boards sit at opposite ends of a harness that runs past hot metal, and a break inside intact insulation shows up only on a continuity test.
- The obvious move is to replace the board that is complaining, which here is the one that is probably working.
- Sliding a built-in oven out to reach the rear also drags its supply cord, and a cord left unclamped pulls on its terminal screws every time the appliance moves.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
