What F2 01 Means
F2 01 is the power board's side of the same startup problem F1 01 reports: this time it is the power board that has initialised and found no clock board present. The checks F&P lists are the connection to the clock board and then the clock board itself.
Common Causes of F2 01
- The clock board harness unplugged or partly seated
- A clock board with no power reaching it
- A clock board that has failed outright
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
One breaker reset of two minutes is the sensible first move. If the display is dead as well as the code being logged, mention that - a blank fascia and a missing clock board tend to go together.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The oven must be off at the breaker before the rear or the fascia is opened, because the power board switches the element supply directly.
- Whichever board reports the problem, the failure can be at either end, so the link has to be proved before a part is chosen.
- Boards are handled by their edges for a reason; static from bare hands damages them in ways that only show up later.
- Pulling the oven from its cabinet to reach the harness rests its whole weight on the cabinet lip and its mounting screws.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
